ALOHA PETROLEUM DONATES OVER $7,000 TO KAPI‘OLANI MEDICAL CENTER
HONOLULU (February 9, 2023) – Continuing its mission to support the Hawai‘i community, Aloha Petroleum recently donated $7,070 to Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children. The funds were raised through canister collection donations at participating Aloha Island Mart convenience stores statewide. Aloha Petroleum also contributed to Kapi‘olani’s Santa’s Workshop Toy Drive after collecting presents for pediatric patients at all of its Aloha Island Marts.
“Our customers are truly amazing, as demonstrated by their continued giving to deserving non-profit organizations through our in-store canister collection program and the toy drive,” said Casie Bui, director, sales operations and marketing for Aloha Petroleum. “ We are proud to support Kapio‘lani’s dedicated medical team for providing exceptional care to Hawai‘i’s women and children.”
Aloha Petroleum has previously used its collection canister program to support numerous other non-profit organizations including Easterseals Hawai‘i, The Salvation Army, Make-A-Wish Foundation, American Red Cross – Hawaii Chapter, and Boys & Girls Club of Hawai‘i. Aloha Petroleum collected toys for Kapi‘olani’s Santa’s Workshop Toy Drive at all of its Aloha Island Mart locations from November 15 through December 15.
As a not-for-profit medical center, Kapi‘olani relies on the community's help to create a healthier Hawai‘i. Its specialty services for patients throughout Hawai‘i and the Pacific region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric care, critical care transport via air and ambulance, maternal-fetal medicine, high-risk perinatal care, and women’s health services. Since 2020 Aloha Petroleum has been a committed partner for Kapi‘olani donating more than $40,000 toward the hope and healing of Hawai‘i’s keiki.
Added Dawn Dunbar, vice president of philanthropy for Hawai‘i Pacific Health, “We are incredibly grateful for Aloha Petroleum’s fundraising efforts, and the support of their customers who generously donated to Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children.”
