THREE HAWAII HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS NAMED WINNERS OF ALOHA PETROLEUM’S COMMEMORATIVE MUG DESIGN CONTEST

HONOLULU, HAWAII (February 12, 2024) – Aloha Petroleum recently announced the winners of its Commemorative Mug Design Contest, showcasing the artistic talents of Hawaii’s high school students. The competition, centered around the theme “What Does Aloha Mean to You?”, received a number of entries, each reflecting the unique spirit and culture of the islands.
 
The winners are:
 
•       Grand Prize ($1,000 cash award) – Olivia Yoshida, Moanalua High School
•       Second Place ($750 cash award) – Ashly Yu, Roosevelt High School
•       Third Place ($500 cash award) – Cassidy Crowley, Punahou School
 
“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the students who participated in this year’s contest,” said Casie Bui, director of sales operations and marketing at Aloha Petroleum. “Our commemorative mug has long been a cherished holiday tradition, and through this contest, we are privileged to support and celebrate our local art community.”
 
The contest was open to all Hawaii high school students in grades 9 through 12, with participants showcasing their artistic talents across various mediums, from traditional paintings to innovative digital creations. The winning artwork will be unveiled during the 2024 holiday season.
