SHELL HAWAII’S GIVING PUMP CAMPAIGN RAISES NEARLY $11,000 FOR THE MAKE LEMONADE PROJECT

HONOLULU, HAWAII (November 6, 2023) – Aloha Petroleum, the gasoline marketer for the Shell brand in Hawaii, recently donated $10,878.75 to the Make Lemonade Project to ease the financial burdens of treatments for cancer patients. The funds were collected through the Giving Pump Campaign at select Shell stations across the state from August 1 through September 30, 2023.

“We are honored to support the Make Lemonade Project in their mission to alleviate the financial challenges faced by cancer patients,” said Casie Bui, director of sales operations and marketing at Aloha Petroleum. “Through our Giving Pump Campaign, we're not only fueling vehicles but also igniting hope and creating a positive impact within the community."

The Make Lemonade Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, helps cancer patients through three impactful programs. Lemon-Aid provides grants to hard-working cancer patients as they navigate the high costs of treatment. The Lemonade Shop is a web-shop filled with gifts. Free Lemonade Stands filled with free gifts for patients and providers are located in adult and pediatric Cancer Centers on Oahu.

"We are deeply grateful for the generosity of Aloha Petroleum and the community for their support of our mission,” said Kelsey Nishi Darling, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Make Lemonade Project. “At Make Lemonade Project, we believe in the power of unity to assist those in need, and this donation is a testament to that."
